Third Annual Pet Portraits at the Park | A Chula Vista Community Tradition by Peraza Real Estate

Watch Our Event Recap

Some traditions start small and grow because people keep showing up. That's exactly what happened with Pet Portraits at the Park.

On October 18, 2026, Peraza Real Estate hosted our Third Annual Pet Portraits at the Park at Memorial Park in Chula Vista. Families, neighbors, and their furry companions filled the park at 373 Park Way for a morning of portraits, conversation, and connection, right as the holiday season got underway.

Three Years and Counting

When we hosted the first Pet Portraits at the Park, the idea was simple. Give our clients and neighbors a reason to come out, bring their pets, and spend a morning together. No open house, no listing presentation, just people and their animals in the park.

Three years later, it has become something we look forward to all year, and so do the families who come back every fall. We see the same faces, the same dogs a little grayer around the muzzle, and new families who heard about it from a neighbor. That's how a tradition grows.

We're proud to keep it going for a third consecutive year. Consistency matters to us, in business and in community. Showing up year after year is how trust is built.

The Morning at Memorial Park

Guests were welcomed with a full coffee cart and barista, plus pastries and fresh donuts. The pets got treats, and families took home goodie bags while supplies lasted.

The centerpiece was our professional Pet Portrait Station. Dogs, cats, and a few very patient family members took turns in front of the camera. Some pets posed like pros. Others needed a treat, a squeaky toy, and a little encouragement. Every one of them walked away with a portrait their family will keep for years.

With Halloween around the corner, plenty of pets showed up in costume, and so did a few of their owners. Kids ran around, neighbors swapped stories about their pets, and people who had never met before left as friends. That part never gets old.

More Than a Pet Portrait

The portraits are the reason people come. The connection is the reason they come back.

Peraza Real Estate has been a family-owned brokerage serving Chula Vista and San Diego since 2003. Over the years, we've learned that the best part of this work isn't the closing table. It's the relationships that last long after the keys change hands. Many of the families at the park were past clients. Others were neighbors we'd never met. All of them are part of the community we're proud to serve.

Pets are family. For a lot of our buyers, the dog's needs are on the wish list right next to the number of bedrooms. A yard, a nearby park, a walkable street. So it feels right that one of our favorite traditions is built around them.

As Chula Vista realtors, we believe our job is bigger than buying and selling homes. It's about creating spaces where neighbors meet, families celebrate, and community gets a little stronger. Pet Portraits at the Park is one way we live that out.

Thank You for Three Great Years

To every family who joined us at Memorial Park this year and in years past, thank you. You're the reason this tradition keeps going. We can't wait to see you and your furry companions at the Fourth Annual Pet Portraits at the Park next fall.
